Service outage leaves RightFax™ Connect and EasyLink Fax2Mail customers without fax service
etherFAX customers remained
operational.
Yesterday, October 4th, 2016, customers using RightFax™ Connect™ and EasyLink Fax2Mail™ reported service failures as a result of a Level 3 Communications network outage which left companies across the country without phone, fax, and internet service. Outages were also reported by Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and other service providers because of their use of the Level 3 infrastructure.
Luckily, our customers using etherFAX™ for cloud-fax transmission were not affected by this outage because of the etherFAX multi-carrier backbone. This redundant architecture ensures your mission-critical fax environment is not vulnerable to the outages of a single carrier. This redundancy is particularly critical in times of catastrophic events such as hurricanes and other natural disasters.
