Biscom Announces Direct Fax Integration for Epic
It is critical for healthcare organizations to be able to send sensitive information both accurately and efficiently. The release of FAXCOM for Epic Integration, from our partner Biscom, aims to do just that. This new integration from Biscom provides capabilities that improve productivity, increase the security of patient information, and enhance faxing functionality.
Biscom’s Epic Integration integrates directly into Epic, allowing organizations to capture basic patient data from Epic and attach it to a fax.
With the integration, Epic attaches Patient Record metadata to each sent fax allowing users to search using keywords from the Patient Record. This information can then be sent directly from within their Epic environment. The integration also allows users to check status, causes for failed faxes, and resend. Being able to fax from within one program, and to filter through great quantities of information at once will save time and increase productivity within a customer’s electronic medical record systems.
FAXCOM for Epic Integration, as with all Biscom solutions, offers full encryption, workflow, dashboards, reporting, and a robust set of APIs. Biscom fax solutions can be integrated through hosted cloud services, on-premise fax servers, or in hybrid configurations to provide disaster recovery and overflow capacity. The National Institute of Health, Cedars-Sinai, Dana Farber, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Boston Children’s Hospital are just some of the healthcare organizations that already rely on Biscom solutions for their faxing and secure document delivery needs.
As one of the largest resellers of the Biscom FAXCOM solution in North America, Instant InfoSystems has the expertise and know-how for implementing and supporting mission-critical fax environments.
